October Meeting Our Chapter Director, Monty MacAusland, welcomed everyone. 30 people attended this months meeting. Corinne MacAusland, Stephen Pineau & I were at the Horizons Training in Debert N.S. Susan Kearney very kindly took notes for me. Thank You, Susan. We got an Appreciation plaque to present to the Mayor of Stratford for providing us with a room for our meetings in the Stratford Town Hall. Some topics up for discussion were the Regional Rally for next year and the Christmas Party. We are looking at either December the 5th or the 12th. Brent MacKinnon is checking to see if the Crossroads Fire Hall will be available and also to see if they will let us use it. A suggestion was put forward that we go back to having house gatherings, a couple of members volunteered their homes if we can’t get the Fire Hall. Santa Claus will also be contacted to see if his schedule will accommodate us. The main part of the meeting was focused on the rally which will be held on July 29, 30, 31, & August 1, 2010 at the Causeway Bay Linkletter Hotel, 311 Market Street, Summerside. Discussions were held on acquiring vendors, t-shirts, Susan will be sourcing out available screen printers for the t-shirts. Barry, Reagh, & Corinne will be getting together to check out the hotel and the space available for our use. The Rally will also be putting on a Trailering Course on Friday all day. Registration for the course will be added onto the Rally registration form. The silent action was discussed. Brent MacKinnon & Wayne Kearney are looking after the bike games. Linus Gillis will check around for plaques for prizes for the bike show. There will be bike runs on Friday and Saturday as well as a Poker Run. Peggy MacKinnon will head up the committee for providing entertainment on Saturday night of the Rally. Banquet will be held on Friday night. Blessing of the Bikes – We need to get some one for this. Sunday morning at 9 AM. More Committees will be formed in the coming months. All members are requested to put on their thinking caps and come up with some ideas for a logo and slogan for the Rally in August. We need these ideas for the November meeting. A drawing of the logo and a slogan to go with it. We have a few but a few more would be nice to help with a decision. A suggestion was made on getting some hats crested. Carl Wilson will get a few done and bring them back for the next meeting. Also Doug king got a jacket crested at Abegweit Outfitting Co. in Cornwall. This is a nice jacket for the spring and summer riding season. Anyone interested could have a look at Doug’s to see how he had it done. The Traveling Plaque will be up for grabs at our next meeting November 15, 2009 so we will probably have some visitors at our meeting. Don’t Forget about TOUR MASTER.
